Little Peanut

We are now making it public knowledge that we are expecting another little Mitchell this August!! We are excited and wanted to share with everyone our great news. We have seen the baby's heartbeat and so far all is going well. The LORD is good and whatever his will is for this little one we are content in it.

More Snow Time

We woke up to snow flurries yesterday morning and by noon we had several inches on the ground. By this afternoon it was melted a good bit, but David and Katie still had fun playing. We had snowball fights and Katie helped mom make a small snowman. David made a big snowball and put it in a Ziploc bag to keep in our freezer. He is very proud of it and has already shown several of his friends. I bet it will stay there until we leave Korea. The kids are enjoying the snow, but I think we are ready for some warmer weather.

Playing Around

David likes to build what he calls patterns. So today he built a leggo tower that if you look at the middle the ends are reflections of eachother. Such a smartie!

Katie likes to be silly and make us laugh so she put on Daddy's boots and was walking around the house when I snapped this picture. I think she had just gotten done with some spagetti because it is all over her mouth and shirt. What a cutie!

Seoul Tower with Kiddos

After telling David and Katie we had went to Seoul Tower without them, they were not very happy so we had to go the next time we had an opportunity. We went on January 1st which we didn't know was a Korean holiday so we had to wait a good while to get on the cable car and then also wait again to ride the elevator to the observation deck. David and Katie were great during all the waiting and we really enjoyed taking them there.

Seoul Tower at Night

After seeing the lights downtown and then getting a hamburger at Kraze Burger (I think we were more in need of thawing out than of food), we caught a taxi and went to Seoul Tower. Cars are not allowed to drive right up to the tower so we could either walk up a ton of stairs in the freezing cold to get there or take a cable car. So, even with my fear of heights and being on something that doesn't seem stable, I held on tight, closed my eyes and we took the cable car. Then, at the base of the tower, we took a short elevator ride to the observation deck. Along the windows of the tower there were mileage to different areas of the world. We couldn't miss taking a picture of how far it was to the United States. Being up in the tower, you really get a sense of how big Seoul is; it seems to go on forever. The first picture is from a few months ago, but since I didn't get a picture of Seoul Tower tonight, I added it.

Downtown Seoul

We went downtown tonight to see the Christmas lights with another couple from Osan AFB here in Korea. It was very cold, but we had a great time. Enjoy the pictures!

Korean Zamboni

We went downtown to look at Christmas lights and we came across a Korean Zamboni. Since we have been here, we find that things are sometimes not quite right. Well, this gentleman was pushing this ice scraper along the ice and pouring water out of the kettle behind the scraper. He never went back over the water with the scraper to even out the ice. We took a closer look at the ice and noticed it was full of cracks and divots from iceskates. I wondered why they made people wear helmets to skate there and now I know. :-)
