Sorry it took so longWell, I have been meaning to update this blog for a long time and put more pictures of Korea, but I think now is the time to move on and just start with what is going on now. We arrived in Alabama last Sunday after an awesome trip to Hawaii and fun visiting family and friends in Texas. We got our home last Monday, all our household goods on Tuesday and then have been busy unpacking and stimulating the economy as we get our house back in order. We really like Montgomery. We have met some wonderful folks and have even found a new church home. We joined First Baptist Montgomery and have felt right at home.<br /><br /><div><div><div>We have enjoyed our vacation time together, but now it is back to reality. Nathan <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_0" class="blsp-spelling-error">inprocessed</span> today and will be starting <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_1" class="blsp-spelling-error">ACSC</span>. It was a bit different seeing him in uniform again since we have been bums for the last month. David is excited to start school this Friday. Katie would love to be in school as well, but has one more year of "mommy school." </div><div><br /></div><div>Sarah Anne hasn't made her debut yet, but it is only a matter of time. We have met the midwife who will deliver her, registered at the hospital and have our bags packed. We can't wait to meet her. As soon as she arrives, we will post some pictures and let everyone know. </div><div><br /></div><div>Thanks to everyone for their prayers as we were traveling and moving in. We miss all our friends we have left behind, but are excited to see what lies ahead. </div><div><br /></div><div>Take care and keep in touch!</div><div><br /></div><div></div><div>Here are some pics from our Hawaii trip... it was so relaxing and we all had such a wonderful time! </div><div></div><div>Some from the beach outside our hotel:</div><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366285008169955650" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZgdMLNddpPOAGRuiR7znlH6NzHHihLmGl2Qvdzeo4W_04SZxqqNDTFTmlfxVxP2s_ZfOaNsOB-yIITDXoE8qkY450AR7zyDYgCnDRyxctenQw6ECh0VqX1kG1TSHa8foQyM-1yt1vhq0/s320/DSC06676.JPG" /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366285003868029474" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgR5ngBtINMaarI9YxdGtOIoYtCTZrHWS4WpabyADxfP6a4sMR2aDsKj42Xt-AMRgB2p9mRH8NU1Eoc74Wj1R-TG2ryRRRd4y38ZlIw1wyezVW8gbkCamo7tzi22KUO2QIu5FEbZHuDLzk/s320/DSC06655.JPG" /></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366284998858663970" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjfGbrcfAlWZQGVnvgB9ntO_uKUMt-BW05TfdGOsu1qO9LxDDQ8tCSneydNjQ6qhcWmmUZ1kGYesHcQ_x6XfSDFQBLU7d2rPX1qiLxgpRgGxs2mMStWDeWZwG8ytTPzwOjC-n4IxVJHt0M/s320/DSC06651.JPG" /></div></div><div></div><div>Dole Pineapple <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_2" class="blsp-spelling-corrected">Plantation</span> maze:</div><div></div><div></div><div><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 214px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366284994178052402" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjGTCp2mmE1dUFsPYjrXEk41Iymzs65Z-MmyyWqvWBZoPKy5trZcwXDYaRXFt2dpY3dytSO3T_54gfx4VdyEkv7kxo7wFF3cwQbviS8D9Zjxf_j_hTzcfyF7SVpRnxgNsNq7UgTRaBrWuE/s320/DSC06601.JPG" /> <div></div><div>Our Princess Leia (we really think it was more like <span id="SPELLING_ERROR_3" class="blsp-spelling-error">Shrek</span>, but she said she was Princess Leia):<br /><br /><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 320px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5366284990781574466" border="0" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgyBmNEzFcqXcGfgtxj_lBRo1E40PIw2m4zUrHJfrIHUTfTcVASrWzS-oyrOscKk7QjIuyFqgmXN5WU_xwMgbxbYqvXGZc0rxvK0JXPiBOKjB2DPCsRfKnqbLpzHKT3w-gdPVN7xLnkrTY/s320/DSC06597.JPG" /> <div></div><div></div></div></div></div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011312194839067566.post-49248103752524506542009-08-04T16:55:00.000-07:002009-08-05T09:22:09.497-07:00If you can't tell, we really enjoyed Hawaii!!These pictures are from the Luau we went to. When the radiologist said it was a girl, Katie kept repeating (getting louder and louder at the same time), "I told you it was a girl!" Needless to say, she was excited. David said he didn't care if it was a boy or girl and that all he wanted was a healthy baby. We couldn't agree more. Everything seems to be going well and our little girl is growing fast. The ball the kids are standing under actually has little holes in it so it looks like you are looking at stars when you go into it. The kids enjoy it here.</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011312194839067566.post-59709527933693577712009-04-02T23:24:00.000-07:002009-06-07T03:24:05.638-07:0063 Building<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu079sf0zTHMQN3WLXgCboELQvZKABnZEJJSycmC05XCU4sLhpzgD-FENdt2SJA0_njsdkjJWR6RdIBXwzXRcDYZFSIqKXdaGQtEQb5U1MDUiqwCJ7HtU8-H9MUOANz4kU63Mjhttd0bM/s1600-h/DSC05896.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344529354030607154" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu079sf0zTHMQN3WLXgCboELQvZKABnZEJJSycmC05XCU4sLhpzgD-FENdt2SJA0_njsdkjJWR6RdIBXwzXRcDYZFSIqKXdaGQtEQb5U1MDUiqwCJ7HtU8-H9MUOANz4kU63Mjhttd0bM/s320/DSC05896.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitM0Y_trwSv23dxxWvkoc8e00YvB1fa1zMV7JDStHIAF-u1J1xkEs_aEJL1bozXDD4k_vqUzy22Yh3b8uF1-lp9MNRKklI37E083QzqMh-k0HUV4arcbzD79yNatY72zenzKzPT3IYEvI/s1600-h/DSC05879.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344529349930470962" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitM0Y_trwSv23dxxWvkoc8e00YvB1fa1zMV7JDStHIAF-u1J1xkEs_aEJL1bozXDD4k_vqUzy22Yh3b8uF1-lp9MNRKklI37E083QzqMh-k0HUV4arcbzD79yNatY72zenzKzPT3IYEvI/s320/DSC05879.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344527535213361922" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg4zMVwMycvdi7qT8l2MU4TZz8rcDqyLsEWJJ403cRQ9cdg4RrFtZm4Sc5X6RfYuXPsxy-QyoGdnRgAqU5i8InJ0C7wu_s-R-q8woC0AqqCTfiH35VabjpzW1sAQLJRS7YqAalH4AtgDQA/s320/DSC05851.JPG" border="0" /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizZWGmieZGjHW6oT4u9H4DDMCIqXNh9aVfV9PhGd76QUdM3gmhP6RjROKrAHy5cAt-wpbzvU3EY8ILvpnXe1ViTbX7UuS5d1tSXu7qjdrckjwGRTatgZz3DmdGuBPcEb5FCtuyB7oZfRg/s1600-h/DSC05894.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344528939441041010" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEizZWGmieZGjHW6oT4u9H4DDMCIqXNh9aVfV9PhGd76QUdM3gmhP6RjROKrAHy5cAt-wpbzvU3EY8ILvpnXe1ViTbX7UuS5d1tSXu7qjdrckjwGRTatgZz3DmdGuBPcEb5FCtuyB7oZfRg/s320/DSC05894.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhM7WvbXpTFOvxxeJdk7Z-1h5SxOfRiG4NXnl3O5nJApbtiW9mAHAJM9AE5mUxA2ZbEDwJKF-iC3iIncqN7PezTeY8I8t_9KyMqArqSiHrITEDk5oFrzaxlhGCoIX3Ybo7LW2VnuKYJej0/s1600-h/DSC05879.JPG"></a><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5344527546435049650" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEinuhZNIPO42xRnJqo1OtOpLD3X1-Ult35fuvNO8BCFqGL2PCpjOC9cNuf8riPeIrxuKNjP9COzhWtBV0ZGgGfO0k3F81ivnsrnDzlY4WTw2L09OES4BsW_w2xoL5h9TKiN_h_E-bqJ5ks/s320/DSC05904.JPG" border="0" /><br /><br /><div><div><div><div><div>There is a building here in Korea called the 63 Building that the kids and I went to today. David woke her up, and handed her his present to her... a lightsaber so that they can now duel. Katie wanted a green one so she could be Asohka from Star Wars the Clone Wars. That evening when Daddy got home, she got to open up more presents. Then, the next day we invited her friends over to have cake and ice cream, play on the playground, play pin the tail on Swiper and then hit a Dora pinata. The pinata was pretty hilarious seeing as after only a few kids hit the pinata, Dora was decapitated-- lucky no one got upset and we turned her body over to let the kids scramble to collect candy. It is just too bad that we didn't get an pictures of that. All the kids had a great time and Katie was so excited that it was finally her birthday and she got to be the center of attention.</div></div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011312194839067566.post-87130995335744452572009-03-14T23:12:00.000-07:002009-03-25T23:25:12.877-07:00New Big Girl Bike<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh95bSMuObiOEVt11n4Nlq_6selYnLMEvdPWMVvY8ersj1F8YGGcu0vp-594ATh-Lmc1tbildMc0gaat5QTNFHc0FCmsSckpEfummZli1zw0RtPgfS_k5IBoYy8Yg6BpUBaXTVOkkSx78/s1600-h/DSC05707.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317378086595071538" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhh95bSMuObiOEVt11n4Nlq_6selYnLMEvdPWMVvY8ersj1F8YGGcu0vp-594ATh-Lmc1tbildMc0gaat5QTNFHc0FCmsSckpEfummZli1zw0RtPgfS_k5IBoYy8Yg6BpUBaXTVOkkSx78/s320/DSC05707.JPG" border="0" /></a> <div>Katie got a big girl bike today. We got this bike from a friend whose girl has outgrown it so it is a bit worn, but Katie doesn't care. She was so excited to finally have something bigger than her tricycle (I know we waited too long to get her a bigger bike). She has learned how to use the brake and is doing really well. She said that she wants to give the tricycle to the new baby... how sweet! </div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011312194839067566.post-65082768051928288372009-03-13T23:25:00.000-07:002009-03-25T23:33:57.451-07:00Another Picture of Our Newest Mitchell<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid8cQTmfyB6Roc2BN_56VCAwke2855ULGw2s-if2xyF0jqPVEENITQtFEbjvtn6yUmiL8CUz7oEesypPLnMhzV2ue11WGfmeblluW1wUGZok5d-ImEBZUBLVANDdj8AEitiQyi4ntQUF4/s1600-h/16+weeks.jpg"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5317379164729917682" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 222px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEid8cQTmfyB6Roc2BN_56VCAwke2855ULGw2s-if2xyF0jqPVEENITQtFEbjvtn6yUmiL8CUz7oEesypPLnMhzV2ue11WGfmeblluW1wUGZok5d-ImEBZUBLVANDdj8AEitiQyi4ntQUF4/s320/16+weeks.jpg" border="0" /></a><br /><div></div><br />Here is the newest picture of our little one taken at 16 weeks. The baby was wiggling around a lot and had his or her hands up by their face. Seeing as both David and Katie came out like this, it was neat to see this one likes to do the same. It was wonderful seeing the little one and knowing that all is still well. The midwife couldn't tell if it was a boy or girl at this time, but hopefully we will know at the next ultrasound we have scheduled April 7th. That is the "big" ultrasound when they take all sorts of measurements and make sure all is growing properly. At least once a month there is some sort of event hosted by the Koreans or Americans. It's a critical part to strengthening the relationship between the two nations and part of the "gatchi gapsida" (We Go Together) military culture on the staff.<br /><br />The most recent example of this was the annual event when U.S. military officers host Korean military academy cadets to their homes for dinner. The host families were told to serve "traditional American meals." Most of the military folks joked the "traditional American meal" would be hot dogs, hamburgers and Bud Light. Never mind the fact that most of the time "American" meals are things like lasagna, tacos, enchiladas and spaghetti. Anyway, the point was to feed the cadets something besides bean sprout soup, kimchee or bulgogi.<br /><br />We hosted a senior cadet named Doo-Hee Lee. He majored in Chemistry and was going into the infantry after graduation. He showed us pictures of his pretty girlfriend and was a real gentlemen during his visit.<br /><br />The consensus from the host families after the cadets visited was the academy doesn't feed the students very much. One family made steaks and their cadet ate three of them. Emma made the traditional Mitchell Italian casserole (if you've had a baby and we brought you a meal, that's what you got). Doo-Hee ate almost half of it by himself along with a bunch of bread and salad. We sent him back to the academy with a six-pack of IBC root beer and some chocolate bars. The general who's responsible for our division stopped by and said hello to the cadets too. We had a great time hosting him and we've told folks to take advantage of this program next year.</div><br /><br /><div></div></div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011312194839067566.post-59618077073333502852009-02-20T17:40:00.000-08:002009-02-20T19:46:15.839-08:00Korean War MemorialThe primary reason United States forces are stationed in Korea is continue the support of the alliance established to prevent communist aggression by north Korea against the peace and freedom-loving people of South Korea (you'll hear almost those exact words at briefings and before exercises to clarify who the bad and good guys are). Since the Korean War doesn't get as much "play" like World War II and Vietnam does, it's pretty common to hear the Korean War described as the "Forgotten War." Contrast the clear end to World War II when the Japanese signed the peace treaty on the deck of the USS Missouri to the continued armistice in Korea along with the difference in the way American culture viewed the Korean War and Vietnam War, and it's easy to see why many people don't have many "defining" thoughts on the Korean War.<br /><br />Living in Korea provides a stark contrast to the relative unknown war understood back in the states. For one, many survivors of refugee camps and veterans of the war are still living and unlike the United States which seems to have major conflicts each generation, the Korean War is the "big event" in their national history. We've been able to see examples of the impact of the war as we've visited different cultural centers around Seoul.<br /><br />The National Museum of the Korean War is right by the base we're stationed and has an overwhelming amount of information and exhibits. We saw some of the tanks and planes used in the conflict and the museum is set up so kids can go inside most of the displays. We were also able to better see how the war impacted the people of Korea; I guess the best way to imagine their view of the conflict is to think what it would be like if after the Civil War a border was drawn across the United States that you couldn't cross with families split since then based on living above or below the Mason-Dixon line.<br /><br /><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-oUlqCwguiIQVefAStbvuVjRPltJomTGNkp7U9RgBW4HlURnrW1W5fBLMFuWYsCxzmGY4pagvki_dOULb7QkQZ7i0LserSNWPJexH3hyphenhyphenHUIR10eloEjmdEs6pOOebOVYk6dXEReRN6OY/s1600-h/DSC05615.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305091272687120562" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-oUlqCwguiIQVefAStbvuVjRPltJomTGNkp7U9RgBW4HlURnrW1W5fBLMFuWYsCxzmGY4pagvki_dOULb7QkQZ7i0LserSNWPJexH3hyphenhyphenHUIR10eloEjmdEs6pOOebOVYk6dXEReRN6OY/s320/DSC05615.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVQffq6xhWZZe78LinKhusUNGIjtga1NhZ4K9BaitwE2IldhJeWd1S5yid6jSKsKWaZgD-PrLwIsiir2Uy-QsSl_IcBKzjI-qqEElLJibIjGX5R872TcWqkprWkWugFPLYH_H2Eyyy7cs/s1600-h/DSC05619.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305091273162177298" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhVQffq6xhWZZe78LinKhusUNGIjtga1NhZ4K9BaitwE2IldhJeWd1S5yid6jSKsKWaZgD-PrLwIsiir2Uy-QsSl_IcBKzjI-qqEElLJibIjGX5R872TcWqkprWkWugFPLYH_H2Eyyy7cs/s320/DSC05619.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSPsddIeGcrg6rILxpl7HFkmWqEE8rUXULpEGWJOyaRf338uAUCU2tA76-hdn5nlWLtAJs3G1uce0MW_VAnm1q_I2oC_CRynFJK3uuzds65VbPwI4JGaowrfliZ8rMtELDs2cWJPvvU5I/s1600-h/DSC05604.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305091269630249586" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiSPsddIeGcrg6rILxpl7HFkmWqEE8rUXULpEGWJOyaRf338uAUCU2tA76-hdn5nlWLtAJs3G1uce0MW_VAnm1q_I2oC_CRynFJK3uuzds65VbPwI4JGaowrfliZ8rMtELDs2cWJPvvU5I/s320/DSC05604.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTNTVBWWuqrJAnn-aFyxfkCjIYqqnr1rbLDXNSBsf3Ox-V5bL7Vs0Wb-_rtiA1WAsDtAl3se4Ju9Q4DWPdZZdpGBCup6_ndFMeJkc-4KvSeXUqlpL8rjkQraueVTE9ZM1x9i8BRp8nt5A/s1600-h/DSC05610.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305091268655259746" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 214px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 320px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiTNTVBWWuqrJAnn-aFyxfkCjIYqqnr1rbLDXNSBsf3Ox-V5bL7Vs0Wb-_rtiA1WAsDtAl3se4Ju9Q4DWPdZZdpGBCup6_ndFMeJkc-4KvSeXUqlpL8rjkQraueVTE9ZM1x9i8BRp8nt5A/s320/DSC05610.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><br /><br /><div><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM8e8J8YCnf1S5rS-IMw94sErBd3I8JkQSRooeENKitvNOrx6qwmfwv27YwdAqLloeV0JGZO0BpUHjn4HPPAerFGAmy_n5TulxJQfhn-wna43b7ta2VlPXCadKs2Sl-VQeaKVLBZqRtlk/s1600-h/DSC05605.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5305091264735473250" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 214px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgM8e8J8YCnf1S5rS-IMw94sErBd3I8JkQSRooeENKitvNOrx6qwmfwv27YwdAqLloeV0JGZO0BpUHjn4HPPAerFGAmy_n5TulxJQfhn-wna43b7ta2VlPXCadKs2Sl-VQeaKVLBZqRtlk/s320/DSC05605.JPG" border="0" /></a> </div></div></div></div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011312194839067566.post-67004593673413210122009-01-25T02:56:00.001-08:002009-01-25T02:59:35.529-08:00Little Peanut<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7CYREhFevPBxBLdEUlkT3TKtHN3HzcdU6c_2U5O8evg2cRC-ak8aK25-1AHxRL4-OEs2klpNn5x0gLrSJbOVzQPoHW8loqdMbnuG8inEgc145yMKu0D6x0D5RMXF3zum31uQLzWIYrOc/s1600-h/Little+Peanut3.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5295184001165803138" style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 320px; CURSOR: hand; HEIGHT: 240px; TEXT-ALIGN: center" alt="" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj7CYREhFevPBxBLdEUlkT3TKtHN3HzcdU6c_2U5O8evg2cRC-ak8aK25-1AHxRL4-OEs2klpNn5x0gLrSJbOVzQPoHW8loqdMbnuG8inEgc145yMKu0D6x0D5RMXF3zum31uQLzWIYrOc/s320/Little+Peanut3.JPG" border="0" /></a><br /><div>We are now making it public knowledge that we are expecting another little Mitchell this August!! We went on January 1st which we didn't know was a Korean holiday so we had to wait a good while to get on the cable car and then also wait again to ride the elevator to the observation deck. David and Katie were great during all the waiting and we really enjoyed taking them there. </div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6011312194839067566.post-23975488103374821252008-12-26T01:57:00.000-08:002009-01-24T14:14:01.291-08:00Seoul Tower at Night<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEivNEB_o_wt9sTIWlgkrubL-Wbi8b83fgfkyDSAlim0ZNBu2Klnw3dLd62e1UOqotKmRYaWfPnak1ehEd7OM60Xv_FvYeaTeCrhQz1VAEDS0V-LVrbvMCeQrla06QnTZ-nBZ8Ywkri_W44/s1600-h/DSC04687.JPG"><img id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5294807279049396946" style="DISPLAY: block; Cars are not allowed to drive right up to the tower so we could either walk up a ton of stairs in the freezing cold to get there or take a cable car. So, even with my fear of heights and being on something that doesn't seem stable, I held on tight, closed my eyes and we took the cable car. Then, at the base of the tower, we took a short elevator ride to the observation deck. Along the windows of the tower there were mileage to different areas of the world. We couldn't miss taking a picture of how far it was to the United States. Being up in the tower, you really get a sense of how big Seoul is; it seems to go on forever. The first picture is from a few months ago, but since I didn't get a picture of Seoul Tower tonight, I added it.</div></div></div></div></div></div></div>Mitchell Familyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/09854562499432625358noreply@blogger.com0
